Connor Deane

By the way, if we haven't mentioned it, we really like Connor Deane as the name for the boy. He seems to be responding to it as well. Last night we saw a double feature, Juno & Horton hears a Who. Juno was pretty hilarious to me, but then again I live in that junior high/high school world way too much. Connor decided that he was in the work out mood in between the two shows. As we were waiting for the second show to start he went to work on beating my hand up. After Sarah had some snacks he calmed down for the movie, but he is definitely getting stronger. I can feel his kicks much better now than before. Anyway, hope all is well. Talk to you soon. Much Love.

Onezies, Bib, & Soreboard?

We went shopping yesterday. The boy has ended up with the latest in fire engine attire. Actually it isn't half bad.

I have been forgetting to also add a picture of the bib that Mom and Dad brought back from Ireland for Connor. I really like it.

P.S. I said I'd try to find a picture of the new out of town scoreboard for Kauffman and here it is.

24 weeks, 12 left

Here are a couple of pictures of Sarah's belly. Today is 24 weeks exactly and leaves us just 12 weeks left. Hope all is well.

23 weeks

We went to our doctor's appointment on Friday. Everything checked out great! Connor is weighing in at a hefty 1 pound, 6 oz. so far. The doc had us do another sonogram this time since last time we couldn't see his face.


I rotated this one on its side to just make it easier to see. You can see the bone structure of his face here. The orbital sockets, cheek bones, and jaw, plus so skull and a left arm. The best part was that the tech had to hurry to get this pic and the next since as soon as he figured out that there was something pushing on him he started pushing back and buried his face away from the ultrasound. At least we got the face and a profile real quick.

They also took another picture of his little boy parts.


He spent most of the time for us hopping like a little frog. Sarah kept ooohing as Connor decided he didn't like the pressure from the ultrasound pushing on him and was expressing this through kung-fu to Sarah's ribs. He seems to like the upside down position with his feet at her ribs and his head down. Hope all is well for y'all. Talk to you soon. Much Love!

P.S. I found some pics of what the new scoreboard in Kauffman Stadium is going to look like. It's supposed to be the largest High Definition scoreboard in the country, until they open the new Dallas Cowboy stadium. The pic's still look sweet and I love the scores. For those of you who can't read it, it says Royals 3 and Yankees 0!!!! I haven't seen any pics of the out of town scoreboard in left field, but I'll get them up as soon as I do.

Carrabba's and Christening

Most of you know by now that Carrabba's closed Sarah's restaurant here in town. She still has a job with the company, but is travelling between stores right now. She has been getting a lot more time off lately which has been a blessing. I know that we have both really enjoyed being with each other more lately. There are a number of options out there for us to decide on and for now we are just trying to keep an open mind about it all. Neither of us really wants to move if it comes to that, since it hasn't been a year since we moved into this home. Please keep us in your prayers.

Speaking of prayers... In April Sarah and I are really excited to see our niece, Adrianna, in person at her christening. Sarah's mom is also planning a baby shower the day before since we'll be in town.

In July we are going to have our soon to be son, Connor Deane, christened. We are pretty sure that it will be sometime in the 3rd or 4th week of July. Don't plan too much just yet, as invitations will follow. Our due date is still the 8th of July, and I know that I am already counting down the days. Hope all is well. Talk to you soon.

Gary and Carmen just got back from being groupies for the band, The Elders, who recently toured Ireland for a week. They brought us back Connor's first sweater, hand made in Ireland. It really is beautiful.

Here is a pair of overalls that Sarah absolutely loves. Her phrase, "There ain't no bugs on me," has been uttered a time or two lately. She really enjoys the little buggies on his coolie. I really like them cause I'm hoping I won't be able to tell if they are dirty or not.

Mike & Dennis, we just couldn't resist buying the boy some fishin gear even before he shows up. It's rip-stop and comes with a vest, which we haven't bought yet, since it looks like he will really have to grow into it. There was also a bucket hat, but that was big on me!!!

22 Weeks

By the way... For some reason the "Sue" reference was lost on some people. It wasn't an actual suggestion. It comes from a song by Johnny Cash titled, "A Boy Named Sue." Thank you to all of those who understood this and explained it to those who didn't. My dad has referenced this song for years, since I was very little. "Kickin and a Gaugin in the mud, the blood, and the beer," has been uttered numerous times. Thanks to those of you who offered suggestions of names. Michael (Monkey), I really liked Attached Earlobes Jr., but Sarah wasn't having it. She swears he's coming out with earlobes separated from his caranium. Nobody's perfect!
